San Diego County’s best pastry chefs, caterers and bakeries donate thousands of delicious pumpkin, pecan, apple and sugar-free apple pies to the effort, now in its fourth year. Pies are only $20 each. Mama's Kitchen hopes to sell 5,000 pies and raise $100,000 to directly fund thousands of free, hot nutritious meals and help ensure that no one living with HIV/AIDS or other critical illnesses in the community will go hungry. This Thanksgiving, give the gift of life as Sophie@103.7 helps celebrate the 30th Annual Chargers Blood Drive, presented by the San Diego County Credit Union, on Tuesday, Nov. 25th! Gaslamp For The Holidays!
Visit the Gaslamp Quarter this holiday season and experience Gaslamp for the Holidays! From 5pm-12am, Nov. 26th-Jan. 1st, the streets will be illuminated with specialty lighting on the rooftops of the historic buildings along 5th Avenue, accentuating the unique 19th Century architecture. Many of the Gaslamp Quarter merchants will be participating in the festivities by decorating their shops, complimenting the visual lighting effects.
